Pacquiao vs De la Hoya: And the brawl begins… on YouTube

Karlos Ransa, YouTube Review

Days before the most-awaited December 6 The Dream Match between celebrity boxers Manny Pacquaio and Oscar de la Hoya in Las Vegas, the fierce battle has already begun… inside the YouTube ring.

“Two protagonists with a sword and a dagger. Who will win?” asks mharxx.

ROUND 1

lukep2008: “I hope/think Oscar will win.. Pacman is a great exciting fighter. But I think he is over rated..  No one ever mentions his three losses and two draws? (biggest secret since the Da Vinci Code).

fliptopran  disagrees: “De la Hoya is very weak when he steps into the ring!! The better thing that De la Hoya could do is go back to his locker room and pray Ave Maria! ‘Cause Manny throws a lot of punches to the body and head! Go Pacman!

And uclanak40 won’t simply backdown. “Oscar will definitely win because he is stronger and has great technique. Manny does not do so well against technical fighters (e.g. Juan Manuel Marquez who I believe beat Manny twice…close fights…still I give the edge to Juan). Eric Morales defeated him handedly in the first fight because he used his height and better refined skills. Yes, Manny went on to beat a worn down Morales twice but he still had the same openings a stronger and bigger fighter can capitalize on. The left hook will do.”

Don’t be too overconfident, Dapogsy2007 cautions. “Manny will surprise a lot of people. He will win coz he’s got the one thing Oscar does not have. FAITH.”

“Manny Pacquiao has beaten all his Mexican opponents. Oscar De la Hoya wants to be the Mexican hero by beating the small Manny Pacquiao. A mismatch if I will think of it. Anyway, Manny has already won this fight! He just have to step into the ring and throw some punches. A big shame for Oscar De le Hoya if he will lose to this small guy!” says ayemdlaw.

ROUND 2

There are online fighters crossing racial lines.

“I’m a Filipino but I went for De la Hoya.. I like Pacman but I think De la Hoya is gonna win this one.. He has more experience than Pacman.. bigger, stronger, much powerful. I bet $100 for De la hoya. I’m pretty confident I’ll win,” t3r0nr4yz3r admits, probably to the dismay of his or her compatriots.

ROUND 3

Some crow abouth their inflated machismo, as others unlease racial uppercuts.

“Manny Paquiao is the sex symbol of the millennium and he was slated to be the next JAMES BOND. Manny refused the offer because of his devotion to the Filipino people and boxing… because of Manny we Filipinos are now renowned PLAYBOYS desired by all the women of the world, specially WHITE WOMEN,” SuaveBola brags.

Annoyed, shadyreal blurts out: “You sick fucking flip. Have you no respect for you own race? So flips are now playboys and desired by women all over the world? Open your chinky eyes you cock face. You guys are still ugly as fuck and need to fix your 4th world island….hahahahahahahahaha. Manny Pacquiao is just an accidental stunt…hahahahaha.”

ROUND 4

Others are simply, well, bizarre.

“Oscar is GAY! He’ll just clinch and will fuck Manny upfront,” says damon6254.

And sprucegoose22 enthusiastically utters: “I can’t wait for this fight!!! Go Pacman go. Beat another Mexican ass!!!!”

FINAL ROUND

Tired of the endless bickering, froilan321 shierks: Idiot comments. Just watch who’ll win.”
